Meet Lisa

Hello, I'm Lisa Wolfe-Schacter CST-T, M.Ed, LMT (she/her)

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Expressive Arts Therapy and Expression from Prescott College in 2004, and my massage therapy license from Alternative Healing in 2004 as well, followed by a Masters degree in Elementary Education. I taught Primary grades K-3 in the classroom (including a self contained ESL class) as well as through academic intervention for 15 years. All the while I was maintaining my massage therapy and Reiki practice. All these forms of education and experience gave me a unique understanding of people of all ages and their healing processes.

I was introduced to CranioSacral Therapy when my nephew was born via vacuum extraction and then again when my son was born via cesarean birth. I witnessed first-hand the change in my own child's emotional and physical well-being after CranioSacral sessions. This sparked my passion for CranioSacral Therapy. I began my training through the Upledger Institute and I left the classroom to dedicate myself full time to my child and to my CranioSacral Therapy education and practice.

I am now a certified CranioSacral Therapist and I work with all populations: infants, children, and adults. My passions are working with pregnant people, parents, and children who have experienced traumatic births and collaborating with other bodywork professionals to coordinate and enhance care.

I am an Upledger Institute Presenter and a Teaching Assistant for CranioSacral Therapy courses and I truly enjoy helping to facilitate a love and understanding of CranioSacral therapy in others. I feel very honored to be able to share my knowledge while enhancing my own and I plan to continue doing so.

Since moving to the South Austin area I have greatly been enjoying fostering an integrated approach to care and collaborating care with other professionals in the area such as IBCLSs, OTs, PTs, Chiropractors, Dentists, and more.
